I got in a little bit of a slump last year of not really caring about my weight loss anymore. I am not sure what triggered it, but I decided to re-visit my rewards for weight loss. I was rewarding myself every 10 pounds, and I decided I needed a little lift more often, so I have revised my list and changed my goal gifts to every 5 pounds now.

ReplyDeleteI stopped doing mini-rewards, cause I found they didn't motivate me. And instead, picked a big-honking reward, and I find taht every week, I ponder it and it IS motivating. It would cost time and thousands of dollars--to give me this reward. :D But I find that big works better than small for me.
ReplyDeleteMaybe the 3K contest would be a bigger motivator than a hair color? Ya never know?
I need to readdress my list. I have a hard time buying stuff for myself and this would help me.
